A campsite shop runs on emergency and impulse purchases. We keep the range tight so you tie up as little stock as possible and earn more per shelf metre.

Emergency buys at full price

A forgotten sleeping pad, a cold night, a dead torch. Guests buy on site because the alternative is a drive into town — there is no price haggling.

Impulse buys at the till

Pocket knives, multi-tools and cork screws are small, high-margin items that sell without anyone having to sell them.

45–60% margin

Dealer price in, recommended retail price out. No large minimum orders, so you can start with a few units per item.

Stock without season risk

Sleeping gear, lamps and tools do not go stale in autumn. Whatever does not sell in August is ready for Easter.

Choosing a supplier

Three things that decide the supplier choice

1. Restocking in peak season

An empty shelf in week 29 is lost revenue, not delayed revenue. We hold stock in our own Danish warehouse with daily GLS pick-up: 1–2 days in Scandinavia. A single item can be reordered — you never have to buy a pallet.

2. Margin and low tied-up capital

Fixed dealer prices and recommended retail prices, so you know the margin before you buy. No big minimum orders and no annual contracts — start with 3–5 units per item and reorder what actually sells.

3. One named contact and clean paperwork

A Danish company, Danish invoicing with valid VAT documentation and EU/CE-marked goods. One phone number to the same person, not a support queue in another country.

Example: a small camp shop in one season

Sleeping gear (15 pads + 20 sleeping bags), 30 multi-tools, 25 lamps and headlamps, and 12 cookware sets over a season gives roughly 25,000 DKK gross profit on a few shelf metres — and leftover stock sells again next season.

How to set up the shelf

A small camp shop that actually earns

Four compact shelves cover almost everything a guest forgets or breaks. Prices below are indicative recommended retail prices excl. VAT; dealer margin is typically 45–60%.

1. Sleeping gear

The classic emergency purchase: a guest arrives without a mat, or a night turns cold. Two items are enough — a self-inflating pad and a light summer bag.

Sell 15 pads and 20 bags in a season and one shelf returns roughly 4,000 DKK gross profit.
